Evanescent Thoughts

The V-intro from V for Vendetta

This is one of the my most favourite ones. I remember watching it in Hyderabad I-MAX big screen with a big gang of friends after my JEE.  I was then, so drawn to this dialogue that had a flurry of words with v’s. I googled for the dialogue but couldn’t find it anywhere. So downloaded the subtitles and stripped the text off and here it is. The dialogue of V introducing himself to Evey after ambushing the virulent and venal officers trying to molest her.

In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance, a vendetta held as a votive not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose. So let me simply add that it’s my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V.

Now, with GRE impending,  I can comprehend to it to some extent but  the bizarre effect  enthralling me after reading those words is very much  extant.
